With just three weeks until the 17th edition of MTN Bushfire festival, taking place from May 31 to June 2 at House On Fire in Eswatini, the festival announces this year’s headlining act – the legendary pioneers of Malian Blues, Amadou & Mariam!
With nearly 50 years in the industry, Amadou & Mariam are icons of Afropop, collaborating with global stars and blending their Malian Blues with Rock, Hip Hop, and Disco. They join the festival lineup, replacing Nneka due to unforeseen circumstances.
The Ballantine’s Firefly Stage will feature top South African House Music artists Da Capo, Daliwonga, and Vigro Deep. Da Capo is renowned for his genre-bending sounds, while Daliwonga and Vigro Deep bring their Amapiano flair.
ARMC, the official partner for MTN Bushfire’s Arts Round Table, sponsors acts ALBI X and Rita Kamale. Other highlights include Thandiswa Mazwai, Dr Madala Kunene, and international acts like Oddissee & Good Compny.
