Meetings Africa 2024, set at the Sandton Convention Centre from February 26 to 28, promises to showcase the latest trends in tourism. It includes educational sessions, speed marketing, and a marketplace for local entrepreneurs. Tourism Minister Patricia De Lille expressed confidence in its potential to boost the African business events sector. With over 350 exhibitors, 350 buyers, 20 media reps, and 3,000 delegates expected, it’s a significant event.

Laura Vercueil from Joburg Tourism emphasized its global importance, providing a platform for business in South Africa and the African continent. The previous edition in 2022 contributed R388.5 million to the economy and created 753 jobs.

Running alongside Meetings Africa 2024 is the African Global Events Industry Summit (AGEIS) from February 22 to 25, offering additional networking opportunities. Kate Hassan emphasized its contribution to Africa’s economy and attraction for foreign investors.

Meetings Africa 2024 is more than a trade show; it’s shaping the tourism sector’s future, poised to elevate South Africa’s position globally.
